This slot is all about railways and the trains that travel on them. It’s a Rival Gaming offering, which has actually been in operation since 2010, meaning that it’s already approaching vintage age in slot years. That being said, it does hold up well against more recent releases, featuring some decent graphics that allow you to see what each of its symbols are supposed to be.

These start with the train’s whistle and then move on to the Railroad Crossing sign. There’s also a red building with ladders up the side of it, while a lantern comes next. You’ll see a carriage that is housing a white horse as well as a manual rail rider’s vehicle, the station manager, and a carriage of the train. The final symbol is that of the carriage handle, which can multiply your overall wager by up to 1,600x.

As with most of Rival’s slot games, All Aboard occurs on a layout of five reels and three rows. This is a standard video slot interface so you shouldn’t find it to be unfamiliar. Alongside this setup, All Aboard features a set of 20 pay lines for you to bet on, although you do have the opportunity to customise the number of these that are in operation. You can also customise your bet by choosing a specific coin value between 1p and 25p. Then, you can select up to 10 of these coins to be in operation per line, meaning that the game’s maximum wager possibility stands at £50 per spin.

Special Features

Wild

A shot of the front of the train can be seen as a symbol in the slot too, and this works as its wild addition. As such, it will substitute for all other standard symbols within All Aboard, helping you to create winning combinations in the process.

Furthermore, this one will expand to cover the entirety of the reel that it appears on. If it manages to form one or more wins it will also double the pay-out that you receive. Keep in mind that the wild train symbol only appears on reels one and two.

Bonus Bell

There is a bonus round available to activate in this slot game, which is triggered by the appearance of three or more of the bell symbols. In this feature round, you will see a new screen show up which features nine boxes. You basically need to choose one from this set to receive an instant prize added to your balance.

Casey Jones

The train driver is the symbol that you really need to keep an eye for. Casey Jones is his name, and he’s the one who will activate the game’s free spins function.

Three of these coming into view anywhere will trigger a total of 10 free spins with a double multiplier applied to all wins. If four of them activate the round, you will receive 20 free spins with a triple multiplier. Finally, should you manage to activate the free spins function with five Casey Jones symbols, you’ll receive 40 of them and a multiplier of 4x.

Verdict

There’s plenty to look out for when accessing the All Aboard slot game from Rival. The graphics are really nice to see in action, but when you start seeing the effects that the wild, the bonus and the Casey Jones symbols have on your gameplay, it’s almost assured that you’ll love every minute of it. All Aboard makes for a great addition to the Rival collection of slot games, and we highly recommend it to any avid slot player.
