We all know the Arabian stories that have been made famous over the years, right? Ali Baba or Aladdin and their adventures have been told in every medium available. However, that’s not entirely what you’ll see within this Arabian Tales slot game from Rival Gaming. While it will feature much of the same imagery from such stories, it takes you on a bit of a different journey – but a great one, nonetheless.

You’ll get to make your way through the streets of Arabia in this one, and in the process you’ll witness some wonderful buildings and scenery. Upon the reels of the game is where you will find its various symbols, which begin with the playing card symbols from 9 through to A. Then comes the addition of the ancient book, which is followed by an Arabian dagger, the magic carpet – which is obviously a reference to the Aladdin story – a woman who has a snake wrapped around her neck, and a vicious looking Arabian man who is this game’s top paying symbol.

Rival Gaming has crafted this game with a standard video slot layout of five reels and three rows. At the same time, the developer has opted to include a set of 50 pay lines into the game. These lines can be customised by you by using the “Select Lines” button. You can also adjust the value of your wager per spin, with the first course of action being to select a specific coin value. In Arabian Tales, you have a choice of coins values between 1p and 25p. You can then choose how many coins should be in play per spin between 1 and 10, allowing you to place a maximum overall bet of £125 per spin.

Special Features

In another reference to the Aladdin story, this slot’s wild symbol is present in the shape of the shiny lamp. The wild can come into view in any position on the reels, and as a wild, it will substitute for all of the other standard symbols within the game. This can heavily assist you with forming winning combinations.

Whenever it is possible to form extra wins, the wild will also expand to cover the entirety of the reel that it appears on. Scatters are not substituted for, but the wild icon does come with an attached double multiplier for you to benefit from.

The scatter symbol is represented by the tiger. As a scatter, this one is able to come into view in any position and still reward you with a win. Five of them showing up anywhere will activate a 50x multiplier for your in-play stake.

While many games utilise the scatter symbol as a free spins trigger, Arabian Tales has its own free spins symbol. This is the genie, and you’ll need to spin at least three of these into view across the reels to activate the free spins function.

The genie will grant you 12 free spins instead of 3 wishes if you trigger the round with 3 scatters. If you manage to trigger the round with four then you’ll be given 25 free spins. Finally, if five of the genies come into view across the screen, then a total of 50 free spins are granted to you. During the free spins round, you’ll also have a triple multiplier in operation.

The final symbol to keep an eye out for in this slot is the jackpot inclusion. This comes in the form of the sultan who is part way through drinking some wine. Whenever three or more of this one appears it will provide you with a large jackpot pay-out.

Three of them appearing anywhere will multiply your wager by 50x over; four of them showing up offer a bet multiplier of 300x; and finally, if five of the sultans show up then your wager receives a great multiplier of 2,500x.
