Enchanted Mermaid takes you far below the surface of the ocean and opens up a whole new magical world. Corals in various shapes and colors line the sides of the screen, together with a number of different types of seaweed. The backdrop is clearly visible through the transparent reels, not that it will do much good. It displays murky waters that occasionally release air bubbles, which you can watch make their way up towards the surface. As for the symbols here, we can’t help but notice the difference in graphics quality. Several look extremely sharp and vivid, such as the sea turtle and clownfish, but in contrast the lower value icons seem somewhat less sophisticated. Note that there’s also a very moving soundtrack that plays as the reels spin, so you might want to have your sound on.
Now onto the more technical aspects, the layout features 5 reels and 3 rows. There is a total of 25 paylines for you to place your bets on, but you are free to select a lesser number to play with if you so choose. The controls will allow you plenty of flexibility in that department, permitting a minimum of just 1 active payline. The available betting range is also fairly flexible, with a minimum bet of only 1p per spin. Then the maximum possible amount you can wager on these reels will set you back a total of £25 per single spin.

Wild
Keep an eye out for the Mermaid symbol. For one, she is almost as elusive as mermaids are in real life, and for another she is the game’s Wild symbol, capable of substituting for any of the other symbols in this game. The one exception, however, is the game’s Scatter symbol. As for its elusiveness, the Wild can only land on reels 2 and 4.
What makes it even more special is that it can participate in the Mermaid Special Substitute feature. As part of this feature, the Wild will expand to cover the entire reel it is on. The feature takes place every time in both the bonus and base games, as long as it can result in at least one winning combo.
Clam
The clam revealing a shiny pearl acts as the game’s Scatter symbol, and contrary to the Wild it will actually be able to land in any position, anywhere on the reels. You will need to land at least 3 instances of this symbol on the screen during the same spin for it to be any use though. This will trigger the game’s main attraction – the Freespins feature. As a result, you will even get the chance to select which of the 3 available free spins rounds you would like to play.
