You need to take a walk through the land of the giants with Giant’s Gold as you plot your way around the beanstalks, fair ladies, and of course giants in this two tier slot. It’s got a unique feel to it in that not only do you get your standard 5×4 reel game, but adjacent to that you get a 12 x 4 game as well. The second half of the slot is really where the money is made and this is where you’ll find the majority of the features and paylines.

Speaking of paylines, the game includes a 100-payline offering which takes the max bet up to £100 a spin. Feature wise you get a wild and free spins game, but not a whole lot else.

Special Features

Wild

The wild feature is one of the most important aspects of Giant’s Gold. Basically, the main reel will allow the wilds to become stacked and if this occurs then they will be moved into the Colossal section. The Colossal section will then make the whole reel wild and the increased number of pay lines and added symbols make this a lucrative feature of the game.

Feature

The free spins game can be activated by getting 3 or more of the feature scatters across the reels from the main game. Once in you will be awarded 5 free spins initially, but if you manage to pick up more than 3 then the number of free spins will increase. Its also worth noting that the free spins game will offer re-trigger bonuses meaning you could potentially get between 40 and 100 free spins where possible. The Colossal section will pay out double on the free spins round.

Verdict

The Giant’s Gold slot is definitely a different entity to what you would usually come across in the online slots industry. The introduction of two reels from the main to the Colossal is different, but it works very well, especially with up to 100 paylines to play from at any given time.

The biggest downside is that the game started to become pretty boring after a relatively short time. The lack of features certainly makes it drag somewhat, but it was the frequency in which the games even appeared that really added to the frustration. Whilst this will be a profitable slot for some, you’ll have to be patient to get into the feature sections. That being said, if patience is one of your virtue’s then Giant’s Gold might be right up your street.
