Highway Kings Pro is an online slot game developed by software manufacturer Playtech. This title revolves around the theme of trucks, truck drivers and everything that has to do with the life of a road warrior. You may or may not know this, but Highway Kings Pro is actually a new and improved version of the original Highway Kings slot game. As such, it boasts some pretty high quality graphics, featuring 3D aminations and brilliantly detailed visuals overall. You can’t see very much of the backdrop, though, aside from the thin strip just above the reels, and two trucks amid a seemingly endless desert landscape. There are none of the conventional slot symbols here; every element is in touch with the theme from steering wheels and tires to gas stations and the drivers themselves.
As for the layout, things are a little simpler. There will be a grid of 5 reels and 3 rows before you, as well as a total of 9 paylines. The paylines are not fixed, though, so you will have the opportunity to regulate them if you prefer. This obviously affects the betting range in a way that’s favorable for penny players, with the minimum bet coming in at 1p per single spin and the maximum bet a total of £45.

Wild
The Wild symbol in Highway Kings Pro doesn’t offer players any payouts of its own, and in addition to that, you won’t be able to land it on either side of the reels. The Wild can only land on the three middle reels 2, 3 and 4; but it will nevertheless be able to substitute for any of the other symbols, and thus help complete winning combinations and boost your winnings. The only exceptions to this rule are the game’s Scatter and Bonus symbols.
Truck Racing Bonus
Look out for the Bonus symbol, as this is this will be your key to triggering the game’s singular special feature. If you land the Bonus on both reels 1 and 5 at the same time this will activate the Truck Racing Bonus Feature, and as a result, you will enter a new screen that will present you with three trucks. Pick one in order to reveal the number of freespins you will receive, which can range from 10 to 25.
That isn’t all. You will then watch the trucks race, and depending on where your truck finishes you will receive a multiplier from 2x to 5x. Only then will the freespins actually begin. You will also have the possibility of retriggering this bonus round indefinitely. Just get the Bonus symbol to land on reels 1 and 5 simultaneously again and this will reward you with an extra 20 freespins.

Highway Kings Pro is certainly an improvement on the original title. Gameplay is relatively pacey and very smooth, and although the structure is quite basic and very typical of a number of Playtech offerings, it’s really addictive.
