Mega Joker is another classic slot from Netent that brings you up close and personal with the slot machines of old. Of course, there’s little doubt that you’re playing the game in the Netent casino, and this one is centred around the smiling joker, hence its name, Mega Joker. The reels have those classic symbols incorporated into them; watermelons, lemons, oranges, bells, 7s, cherries, grapes and of course, the joker himself. In addition, you’ll find an extra icon in the shape of a treasure chest spilling over with jewels.

The game has three rows and three reels, and also includes a total of five paylines. Three coin values can be chosen from, those being £0.10, £0.20, and £1.00, and the bet level can be altered between either a single coin or ten of the coins. That being said, playing with the £1.00 coin and maxing out the bet level will allow you to place a total overall wager of £10.00 per spin. Mega Joker does not include any sort of autoplay feature though.

Special Features

The game, like many classic slots, doesn’t really feature any sort of wilds or scatters of the sort. It does feature a progressive jackpot as part of its offerings though.

Mega Joker’s jackpot is randomly drawn, although the more you wager, the more chance you have of winning it. One thing to note is that only the main game bets count towards the progressive, while Supermeter mode rounds do not.

Supermeter

When playing with the maximum wager, you have the chance to enter supermeter mode after a win. You’ll see the meter at the top of the machine with its own set of reels. When playing supermeter mode, you can bet either 20, 40, 100 or 200 coins so long as you have won at least that much, and all credits are stored in the supermeter. Credits are able to be collected after any spin, at which point you’ll return to the basic game. Payouts in this mode are relevant to the paytable at either side of the supermeter reels.

If you wager 200 during supermeter mode, one or more jokers appearing on the reels will give a mystery win between 100 and 2000 coins for each symbol. If you’re wagering 100, a joker on the middle reel will do the same. Wagering 40, 100 or 200 will reward you with a win of 2000 coins should three jokers appear on a bet line, and 1000 coins if you wager 20.

Verdict

Mega Joker is one of the more interesting classic slot games to play – mainly due to its progressive jackpot inclusion. Supermeter mode is not something unique to this game, but does provide opportunities for receiving bigger payouts if you want to take the risk.
