Owl Eyes is an online slot game by software manufacturer NextGen Gaming. It aims for a kind of enchanted vibe, with the game taking place at night in some magical woods. There’s a light glow visible in the distance, and you can see the silhouettes of thick tree trunks crowding it. On either side of the reels there are small fireflies hovering in mid-air, plus, the chiming soundtrack helps emphasize the whole atmosphere so you may want to keep your sound on. The graphics, however, aren’t all too sophisticated and are actually pretty basic. They feature the lower value playing card icons with leaves growing from them, and as well as these we have some wildlife like the owl and badger.

Look out for the Owl symbol appearing only on the middle reels 2, 3 and 4. It doesn’t offer any payouts of its own, but it acts as the game’s Wild symbol, and as such, it had the capacity to substitute for any of the regular symbols on the reels. However, there is one symbol that the Wild will not be able to replace and that is the game’s Scatter icon.

Gameplay in Owl Eyes is extremely basic, there’s no question about it. You only have the one special feature to entertain you, and that one isn’t all too generous either. Plus, the graphics aren’t the best we’ve seen from NextGen.
