Silver Bullet is a Western-themed online slot game by software provider Playtech. It’s very simple, very basic, and not just where the visuals are concerned. The setup and structure of this title are more reminiscent of your classic slot machine, and the graphics are basic 2D with nothing much going on in terms of the design. For one, the backdrop is just an ordinary brown slate, and the only thematic piece in the whole thing is the title hanging above the reels. It’s made to mimic the old style wooden saloon plaques, which is really neat, but aside from that, only the symbols on the reels bear any relevance to the Western theme. They feature symbols like horses, carriage wheels, barrels, smoking pipes, pistols, cowboy hats, and horseshoes. In addition, there’s a whiskey bottle, bomb, and oddly enough, a lucky 7.

As for the layout, things are pretty standard in this department, as well. You will see a typical 5 reel by 3 row grid with a total of 9 active paylines. It may not sound like much, but the paylines aren’t fixed, so you will be able to regulate them if you want to; therefore, the betting range here starts off at a minimum stake of only 1p per single spin. The maximum possible amount you will be able to wager will set you back some £9 per spin.

Special Features

Now, we did point out that the setup of Silver Bullet is very simplistic and that is entirely true – you will find that there are no real special features or bonuses here. Therefore, don’t expect any freespins, pick me games or cash trails of any kind. As a matter of fact, this title doesn’t even have a basic Gamble Feature. It does feature two special symbols, however, but we will cover those shortly. It has something else going for it though.

Silver Bullet is part of the series of Dollar Ball Progressive Jackpot slots by Playtech. This means that you have the opportunity to win a life-changing amount – or at least part of it – on every spin. But if you would like to partake in this game, you will have to enable the respective option yourself. This will come at an extra cost of 50% of your stake, and you will then need to pick five numbers from 1 to 49. Then on every spin, five numbers will be randomly drawn to see if there are any matches.

If you match 1, 2 or 3 numbers you will be entitled to a fixed prize, but if you match 4 numbers you will receive 1% of the progressive. Finally, getting all 5 numbers to match will award you that mouthwatering progressive.

Wild

The Wild can appear anywhere on the reels, and it will be able to replace any of the other symbols bar the Scatter. Thus, it can help complete winning combos and this is perhaps the only thing that sets Silver Bullet apart from your typical classic slot. Keep in mind that the Wild doesn’t offer any payouts of its own, though.

Scatter

The six shooter is this games Scatter symbol, but a symbol is all it is. It does nothing more than fulfill its basic Scatter purpose, which is to provide payouts without landing on an active payline.

The payouts are multiplied by the total bet before being added to the win line.

Verdict

Silver Bullet may not be the most attractive title from Playtech, either visually or otherwise. But what makes it a title worth considering is its relatively high RTP and the opportunity to score the progressive jackpot.
