Based on the 1940s Hasbro game, the Yahtzee slot paints a picture of a family game night, with the reels filled with bowls of popcorn, pizza slices, glasses of soda and apparent teams of two. There are also three different boxed versions of the game made into symbols for the reels as well. As you play, background noise of a rowdy group of people playing a game of Yahtzee will accompany you. There are one or two bonus features included in the slot to invoke much imagery of the traditional dice game too.
The five reel, three row layout has 25 paylines for you to place wagers on, the amount of which can be changed between £0.40, £0.80, £1.20, £1.60 and the maximum of £2.00 per spin. There’s an autospin button to allow for up to 200 consecutive spins of the reels.
Special Features
Wild
Wild symbols, represented by a swirling star, will stand in for all other symbols on the reels, except bonus and roll symbols, to create a winning combination. It will appear on reels two, three, four and five only.
Roll
When five scattered roll symbols appear anywhere on the reels, the 4 to a Yahtzee free roll bonus round is triggered. Four of the same dice number will be held in place and one die will be rolled. This will either give you four of a kind or five of a kind, or as it’s known, Yahtzee. Wins from this particular feature are potentially bigger when it comes into play.
Bonus
This bonus feature is triggered when the dice bonus symbol appears on reel five. This will then award a number of bonus symbols. The more bonus symbols appearing, the higher the multiplier value will be, so four bonus symbols will equate to a multiplier of four and so on. When you collect five of these symbols, the Yahtzee Bonus Feature is automatically triggered.
Next, click on the blue cup to shake the dice. The matching dice with the highest value will be held. You’ll have three rolls of the dice with the idea being to try and get a Yahtzee. What you get will be multiplied by the number of bonus symbols you had to trigger the feature, and if no pair is rolled after the three you are awarded a chance bonus.
If you successfully roll a Yahtzee on the first roll of the dice, you’ll be awarded the First Roll Yahtzee Jackpot. This equates to 4,500 times your stake. Rolling a second Yahtzee on your second roll will reward you with the Back to Back Yahtzee Jackpot, that’s a huge 40,000 times your stake!

Verdict
If you’ve never played Yahtzee before, this game could be considered quite confusing. However, it’s very simple once you play a few rounds of the bonus features and it provides a great game to spin on.
