You know the saying “If you can remember the 60s then you weren’t really there”? Well, perhaps Netent’s Groovy Sixties slot game will either jog your memory or help you to relive the era if you missed out. With an utterly groovy soundtrack playing in the background, this game features reels filled with flower-powered Beetle cars, knee-high boots, lava lamps, old television sets and more. Alongside these are warped symbols of A, J, K and Q, as well as scatter symbols and wilds.
The game also includes 40 different paylines spread out across its five reel, four row interface, and these can be altered for those players wishing to place wagers on fewer lines. The game’s bet level can be changed between one and five, while the coin value can also be switched from the minimum of £0.01 per line, up to the maximum of £0.50. This give all players the chance to wager a total of £100 across all forty lines at the highest bet level. Standard max bet and autoplay features are also incorporated.

Special Features
Wild
The game’s logo features as the wild symbol, and this will substitute for any other symbol on the reels apart from the scatters. An additional feature of this symbol is that it comes in stacked form, so there’s the potential to fill one or more of the reels with wilds.
Scatter
The sixties girl, complete with green eye shadow, bobbed haircut and glistening smile, makes up the Groovy Sixties’ scatter symbol. Three scatters appearing anywhere on the reels will activate a total of five free spins and will payout double your total bet. The integrated free spins round will also pay out double any winning combinations spun.
Spinning three more scatters during the free spins round will award an extra five free spins and another amount of twice your total bet.

Verdict
One of the simpler games in Netent’s catalogue, the Groovy Sixties is part of the nostalgia series that the developer has been reeling out (reeling out – we’re hilarious!) which also features the Funky Seventies and Super Eighties. The imagery is very apt for the theme and the background music is perfect. Although it has few extra features, the ones that are included are enough to keep gamers entertained throughout. Furthermore, if you fancy to take a trip down memory lane this game is sure to provide it.
