They say gold is a solid investment, and if you owned one of the gold ingots featured in this Rival slot you would be set for life. There’s no story here as such, just an old school slot which mixes some traditional slot elements with the sought-after precious metal.

Gold Bricks is a three-reel, three-row slot game, so that should give you some sort of indication as to the setup. There are just three paylines running across each of the rows, but you can still customise these if you so wish. You can also select a specific coin amount between 1p and £5, then choose between one and three coins to be active per line for a maximum bet possibility of £45 per spin.

As far as the visual side of Gold Bricks is concerned, Rival hasn’t needed to push themselves too much here, but the slot still looks good. The symols are nicely designed, the first of them being the traditional fruit symbols; cherries, the watermelon slice, and the plum. Then come three separate symbols of the BAR; single, double, and treble variations, designed as gold ingots. A red 7, blue 7, and gold 7 come next, with the latter paying out up to 150x your stake.

Special Features

Stacked Wild

As anyone who plays online slots will know, three-reel games don’t tend to incorporate much in terms of special features. Gold Bricks is no different, only incorporating a stacked wild as an extra feature, and this comes in the shape of the stacked gold ingots, appropriately.

Because this symbol is stacked, it provides you with more chances of forming multiple wins, and as a wild it will substitute for all of the other symbols, helping you with creating winning combinations. Should you manage to form a win that consists solely of the stacked wild, you will see your bet multiplied by a maximum of 1,200x.

Verdict

Gold Bricks is one of those three-reel games that doesn’t appear to do much different from other similar games, but it does have the stacked wilds which gives it a bit of an edge. It certainly looks and sounds good too. Anyone who is a fan of 3-reel products or who is on a limited budget will likely appreciate this one, but if you’re looking for something with a multitude of specialities in it and more pizazz, it won’t cater to you.
