If you’ve played and enjoyed the Hillbillies slot from the RTG brand, then prepare yourself for the antics of its follow-up. This is Hillbillies Cashola, which takes all of the thrills of the first game and enhances them for the sequel. The graphics are infinitely better, they really have outdone themselves here, while the inbuilt features ensure that you’re having an entertaining time from start to finish.

Upon the slot’s reels you’ll see similar symbols to the first game, starting with playing card additions from 9 through to A. Then comes the home-brewed jug of moonshine, which is certain to make you a little tipsy. There’s also a view of the hillbillies’ wooden house, while a fat pig can be seen as another symbol. The family dog also makes an appearance and is the highest-paying standard addition. He can multiply your wager by up to 250x over, offering up quite the pay-out.

As with the original slot game, Hillbillies Cashola utilises a layout that consists of five reels and three rows in total. The game also contains a set of 20 pay lines that you’re able to wager on. Even though this is the case, you’re able to easily customise them by using the relevant up and down buttons found at the bottom of the screen. Additionally, you’ve got the opportunity to customise the value of the bet that you bring into play. Hillbillies Cashola allows you to place a bet of anywhere between 1p and 10p per active pay line. So, you’re able to place a maximum overall wager of £2 per spin in this game.

Special Features

In the top-right corner of the game screen you’ll see a jackpot amount. This increases whenever someone places a bet on Hillbillies Cashola and anyone has the possibility of winning it. To do so, you simply need to continue playing the slot. You don’t need to be placing a bet of any specific amount or have to form any specific combination across the reels. It’s a completely random jackpot pay-out, so it’s truly available for anyone to win.

Wild and Scatter

This second-coming of the hillbillies doesn’t differ from the first in terms of its wild symbols, of which there are three altogether. They also operate as scatters at the same time, meaning that they’re able to appear anywhere on the reels and still reward you with a pay-out. Of course, being wild additions means that they can also substitute for all other standard symbols in the slot.

The grandpa hillbilly appears on reel one, while the female hillbilly shows up on reel three. The drunken oaf of a son can be seen on the fifth reel only. These symbols also cumulatively multiply your wins by 2, 2, and 5 respectively when appearing in winning combinations. This means that you can see your pay-out multiplied by up to 9x at a maximum from these symbols.

Free Spins – If you manage to spin two or more of the hillbilly wild scatters into view across the reels, then you’ll trigger the slot’s free spins round. There are eight of these on hand for you to play through and all prizes are doubled throughout. This does not apply to Hillbilly Bonus wins, but the round is able to be re-triggered with the appearance of two or more wild scatters during the feature.

Hillbilly Bonus – If during free spins, you spin a wild scatter into view on reels one, three and five, then the Hillbilly Bonus pay-out is given to you. The bonus provides you with a prize of 2, 2 or 5 respectively, with this prize multiplying the triggering bet that brought the free spins into activity.

Verdict

Hillbillies Cashola is basically a carbon copy of the original game, but with better graphics and animations included. This does, of course, heighten the experience when playing it, although we would have liked to have seen an extra or alternative special feature made available, too. On the whole, it’s a nice game from the RTG brand, and if we had a choice we’d play this second version over the first. Yet, it still requires something a bit extra to entertain us on a grander scale.
