We’ll be honest, we’ve never really been the greatest of dancers. Fortunately, thanks to Samba Sunset, we don’t really need to be. This game from RTG will do all of the legwork for you so you can just sit back and watch its reels spin. Naturally, being an RTG game it features some great graphics throughout, so you will be in for a visual treat as you are taken down to the boulevard where you can watch the Samba Sunset take place.
On the reels you’ll see symbols in the shape of the regular playing card additions. They run from the green 9 through to the blue A. Next in line is the purple drum which can multiply your stake by up to 250x. There’s also a pair of maracas and two symbols of different dancers. These both operate as the slot’s highest paying standard symbols, allowing you to win up to 500x your in-play stake.
The overall setup of Samba Sunset features a total of five reels and three rows, across which there’s a total of 243 ways for you to win, which is not something that you can alter. You can, on the other hand, adjust the value of your wager by using the relevant buttons at the bottom of the reels. They allow you to choose from bets between 25p and £2.50 per spin.
If you take a look at the top-right corner of the screen you’ll see a Minor and Major Jackpot on display. These jackpot totals will continue to increase whenever a player places a bet on Samba Sunset. They are paid out completely at random, so you simply need to continue playing the game and you could find yourself on the receiving end of a random jackpot pay-out.
The game’s own logo can also appear on its reels as a symbol. It is this one that will act as a wild addition, and it will therefore substitute for all other standard symbols to help you with forming winning combinations. This includes the slot’s scatter symbols, too.
The Samba Sunset wild is only able to appear on reels two and four, but it can be quite the helpful symbol when it does show up.
If you see a symbol of the bay come into view, then you have just landed the game’s scatter. Therefore, it will provide a pay-out from wherever it appears. Up to 100x your in-play stake can be claimed from the appearance of this one, and it also triggers the free spins round.
Free Spins – You’ll need three scatter symbols to play the game’s free spins feature. A total of 10 spins will be granted to you, and extra dancer symbols are added to the reels before each spin. This provides you with the chance to form bigger wins across the reels. Every time a wild appears in a winning combination during free spins, your prize pay-out will also be doubled. The feature can also be re-triggered once, in which case you’ll be awarded with 5 Super Games at the end of the 10 free spins.
Super Games – If you manage to spin three or more scatter symbols into view during free spins, you’ll get 10 additional free spins added to your balance before you play 5 Super Games. Extra dancers will continue to be added to the reels prior to each of these games, but the prize reward is tripled if a wild features in a winning combination.
There’s no doubt that the theme behind Samba Sunset is a great one, and RTG executes it perfectly. The graphics within are very impressive as are the animations, and having 243 ways to win makes it feel like a slot that keeps on dropping. The addition of both free spins and super games add even more appeal to an already entertaining game.
